Exam Pattern for CDS 2023:
The CDS exam consists of two stages: the written exam and the interview.
- Written Exam: The written exam is conducted in three subjects – English, General Knowledge, and Elementary Mathematics (for IMA/OTA/AFA). For the NA, there is an additional paper on engineering subjects. The written exam is conducted for a total of 300 marks, with 100 marks for each subject.
- Interview: Candidates who clear the written exam are called for an interview, which is conducted by the Service Selection Board (SSB). The interview is conducted for a total of 200 marks and includes various tests, such as group discussion, psychological tests, and personal interviews.
